Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 3.10 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 0.54 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.53 crore), Karda Const(number of shares traded: 0.50 crore), Mishtann Foods(number of shares traded: 0.32 crore), Shalimar Prod(number of shares traded: 0.25 crore), Lesha Ind(number of shares traded: 0.25 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 0.24 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.23 crore) and Integra Garment(number of shares traded: 0.22 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:24AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 67.55 points up at 16034.2, while BSE Sensex was up 217.77 points at 53731.92 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.21 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.51 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.04 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
