Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Infosys(Rs. 58.56 crore), RIL(Rs. 54.30 crore), Healthcare Global(Rs. 50.61 crore), Zomato Ltd.(Rs. 42.13 crore), Hindalco(Rs. 39.88 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 35.60 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 30.97 crore), HDFC(Rs. 28.33 crore), Ashok Leyland(Rs. 26.80 crore) and VIP Ind.(Rs. 25.68 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 18.85 points down at 15780.25, while BSE Sensex fell 8.03 points to 53018.94.

In the Nifty index, Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.83 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.80 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.62 per cent), State Bank of India(up 1.48 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 4.16 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 3.21 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 3.20 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.53 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.07 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
