Stock market update: Nifty Realty index jumps nearly 4%; DLF surges 7%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Realty index was trading with gains at 12:09PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Sunteck Realty (up 9.06 per cent), DLF (up 7.1 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (up 3.84 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 3.61 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 3.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Omaxe (down 0.2 per cent) was the sole loser in the index.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 3.75 per cent up at 217.0 around 12:09PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 55.15 points at 11302.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 171.33 points at 38222.11.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland, NTPC and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Birlasoft, KIOCL Ltd., IOL Chemicals, Aditya Birla Fashion (PP) and Amber Enterprises India Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mittal Life Style Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
