Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(Rs. 1051.83 crore), PNB(Rs. 890.09 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 857.34 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 802.57 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 801.05 crore), SBI(Rs. 778.41 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 718.29 crore), RIL(Rs. 697.70 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 653.86 crore) and Infosys(Rs. 618.99 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 207.8 points up at 18014.6, while BSE Sensex rose 721.13 points to 60566.42.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 4.17 per cent), State Bank of India(up 4.02 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.12 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.69 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(up 2.65 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
