Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 9.71 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 5.90 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 3.96 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.97 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.78 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.14 crore), Ujjivan SFB(number of shares traded: 1.83 crore), Zee Ent.(number of shares traded: 1.79 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 1.77 crore) and Vakrangee (number of shares traded: 1.70 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:27AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 27.3 points down at 18269.7, while BSE Sensex was down 73.1 points at 61831.42 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 5.33 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.33 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.30 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.93 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.85 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.75 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
