Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Thursday at 11:17AM

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.85%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 1.96%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.40%), National Fertilizer(up 1.13%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 0.82%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 0.54%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.42%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.20%) were among the top gainers.

Aries Agro(down 4.03%), Agro Phos(down 2.82%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 2.75%), G S F C(down 1.61%), Rama Phosphates(down 1.20%), KRISHANA(down 1.12%), Sikko Industries(down 1.03%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.90%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.79%) and Madras Fertlizers(down 0.65%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 87.3 points down at 17808.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 323.96 points at 59781.54 at around 11:17AM.

HCL Technologies(up 1.37%), JSW Steel(up 1.02%), Larsen & Toubro(up 0.92%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.57%), Grasim Industries(up 0.53%), SBI Life(up 0.51%), Cipla(up 0.47%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.35%), Coal India(up 0.35%) and HDFC(up 0.33%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 3.03%), Axis Bank(down 2.16%), Reliance Industries(down 1.74%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.48%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.4%), Asian Paints(down 1.2%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.13%), ITC(down 1.02%), ICICI Bank(down 0.89%) and Eicher Motors(down 0.83%) were trading in the red.
