NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 1557.16 crore), RIL(Rs. 1537.22 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 1311.24 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1034.32 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 980.62 crore), L&T(Rs. 916.35 crore), Infosys(Rs. 903.69 crore), TCS(Rs. 822.01 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 790.39 crore) and HCL Tech(Rs. 773.16 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 112.05 points up at 18165.35, while BSE Sensex rose 390.02 points to 61045.74.
In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.08 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.60 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.41 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 1.83 per cent) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.67 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
