Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 10:40AM

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 4.78%), KRISHANA(up 1.94%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 1.90%), Aries Agro(up 0.39%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.19%) were among the top gainers.

Agro Phos(down 9.11%), Madras Fertlizers(down 7.42%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 3.96%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 3.77%), National Fertilizer(down 3.12%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.54%), ZUARIAGRO(down 2.22%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.91%), Bohra Industries(down 1.56%) and G S F C(down 1.45%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 38.7 points down at 18346.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 150.72 points at 61551.57 at around 10:40AM.

Divis Laboratories(up 1.87%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 1.61%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.89%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.78%), HCL Technologies(up 0.74%), UPL Ltd(up 0.7%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.61%), Tech Mahindra(up 0.48%), SBI Life(up 0.46%) and JSW Steel(up 0.4%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Britannia Industries(down 1.05%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.83%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.81%), Adani Enterprises(down 0.75%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.69%), HDFC(down 0.64%), ITC(down 0.6%), Reliance Industries(down 0.53%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.52%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 0.49%) were trading in the red.
