Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.8% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:29AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Brigade Enterprises(up 5.18 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 0.79 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.53 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Godrej Properties(down 2.44 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.26 per cent), DLF(down 1.27 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.12 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 0.5 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.8 per cent at 441.45 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 82.95 points at 17262.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 223.19 points at 57913.17.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Steel and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Navneet Education, Ruchira Papers, Beardsell Ltd, International Constructions Ltd. and Party Cruisers Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while IMP Powers Ltd, Birla Tyres, Karda Const, GSK Pharma and Quadpro ITeS Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
