Kajol turns 48: Ajay Devgn creates a special video for 'dearest' wife, Tanishaa calls sister 'superwoman'

The weekend started early for Bollywood star Kajol.
The actress, who turned a year older on Friday, received loads of wishes on her 48th birthday, but two messages stood out.

Her husband-actor Ajay Devgn took social media to share an adorable video, starring his stylish wife.

The nine-second-long video, which garnered more than a lakh likes within a couple of hours of being shared, showed Devgn swiping his phone's screen to pick up Kajol's call, after which the video cuts to gorgeous pictures of her wearing a red dress.

His adorable post read, "When she calls, I never fail to pick up. Happy birthday dearest Kajol."

The two were last seen sharing screen space in the period drama 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' in 2020. Their first movie together after getting married was Devgn's home production 'U Me Aur Hum' in 2008.

Ajay and Kajol met on the sets of the film 'Hulchul' in 1995 and tied the knot in 1999 after dating secretly for four years. They are doting parents to two children - daughter Nysa (19) and son Yug (11).

They have starred together in many big projects like 'Gundaraj', 'Ishq', 'Raju Chacha', 'Pyar to Hona Hi Tha' and 'Dil Kya Kare'.

On the other hand, actress Tanishaa Mukerji also penned a sweet birthday wish for Kajol on social media.

Alongside a string of throwback images, the 'Neal 'n' Nikki' star called her elder sister 'gorgeous', 'amazing' and a 'superwoman'. "Here's to making the most amazing memories together! I love you, she wrote.

A day before her birthday, Kajol celebrated with her team. The actress shared a glimpse of the celebration on Instagram. She wrote a special message for her team, "Pre-birthday celebrations start but the gratitude is eternal... thank u #teamK for everything u guys have done for me and with me ... u guys ROOOOOOCK!"
