Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.62 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 0.79 crore), Karda Const(number of shares traded: 0.68 crore), Atreya Petro(number of shares traded: 0.60 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.29 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 0.25 crore), Future Retail(number of shares traded: 0.23 crore) and ARC Finance(number of shares traded: 0.21 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:19AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 125.1 points up at 15681.75, while BSE Sensex was up 370.44 points at 52636.16 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 2.82 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.54 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 2.13 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.80 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.39 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
