    Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

    NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

    Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Affordable Robotic(19.98%), PAE Ltd(19.85%), Minaxi Textiles(19.84%), Welcon International(19.3%), Expo Gas Cont(18.54%), ITI Ltd(17.21%), Capital India Fin(16.18%), V R Films & Studios(15.91%), Indo-City Info(15.07%) and Market Creators(15.02%).

    The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 709.54 points down at 51822.53, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 225.5 points down at 15413.3.

    In the Nifty50 index, 5 stocks closed in the green, while 44 stocks ended in the red.

    Meanwhile, stocks such as Swadeshi Poly, Sonal Adhesives, Shri Gang Industries and Allied Products Ltd., Gallops Enterprise Ltd. and Nintec Systems Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Parmax Pharma, Dhanvarsha Finvest, Emmbi Industries, Shreyans Ind and Som Datt Fin touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
