Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 7.48 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 6.55 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 5.85 crore), MRPL(numbers of share traded: 5.51 crore), Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 4.77 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 4.32 crore), TV18 Broadcast(numbers of share traded: 4.06 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 3.13 crore), ONGC(numbers of share traded: 3.11 crore) and Oil India Ltd(numbers of share traded: 2.88 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 121.85 points up at 16478.1, while BSE Sensex ended up 427.79 points at 55320.28.

On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd.(down 3.86 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(down 1.97 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
