Hosur-Bengaluru metro feasibility study tender to be awarded soon
The Chennai Metro Rail Corporation (CMRL) is set to award a tender for a feasibility study on the Bengaluru-Hosur metro line project. The 20.5 km metro line will connect the industrial hub of Hosur in Tamil Nadu to Bommasandra in Bengaluru, making it south India's first interstate metro. The project aims to ease the commute for thousands of daily travelers between the two cities and reduce pollution. The cost of the project will be shared by each state in proportion to the length of the metro line in its territory.
