Reliance Industries Jio recorded a fall in mobile phone user additions in December 2019. This was mainly due to the levy of interconnect usage charges (IUC) for voice calls to other networks followed by a tariff hike. Vodafone Idea lost about 3.6M users in December. Bharti Airtel had a stable December. It lost just over 11,000 users after tariff hikes.
