ā¢ The government has announced compulsory blending of compressed biogas in natural gas to reduce reliance on imports.
ā¢ Initially, 1 per cent of biogas will be blended in gas used for automobiles and household kitchens, increasing to 5 per cent by 2028.
ā¢ The government also plans to have 1-2 per cent sustainable aviation fuel in aircraft turbine fuel by 2028, in line with net zero emissions targets.
