The Bombay High Court has dismissed businessman Mehul Choksi's petitions challenging the Enforcement Directorate's application to declare him a fugitive economic offender. Choksi is accused in the Punjab National Bank fraud case. The court found no flaws in the ED's application and stated that all requirements under the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act were complied with. Choksi had claimed procedural lapses in the application, but the court noted that the ED had followed the proper format. In January 2020, the High Court had granted a stay on the final order, which has now been vacated.
