Listed lifestyle and grocery retailers and quick-service restaurants in India added nearly 64,000 employees to their workforce in the last fiscal year, a 73% increase from the previous year. Companies such as Reliance Industries' retail arm, Shoppers Stop, and Titan increased their combined workforce by 14% to nearly 530,000 employees. Industry insiders and staffing firms expect continued hiring as retailers have seen a recovery in demand during festive seasons.
