Participant wise F&O Activity on NSE on 26-Sep-23.
FINNIFTY expiry & crazy volatility throughout the market, not the first time we witnessed such moves, nightmare for buyers & hell for sellers. Market remained in a sideways trajectory for most part of the day.
On weekly candle too nothing happened in the first two days. On such days it is wise to not burn our hands in random trades and let market decide the direction on its own.
FII added more shorts and retail added more to their longs, PROs covered few shorts today, their net position is short as of now.
DII maintaining short positions in index & stocks as before however those mostly looks like a hedge to protect the position in cash.
In stocks FII added few shorts (yesterday they covered some shorts, expiry shift might be taking place now), clients maintaining bullish positions as before, while PRO are longs in future but with short in options as hedged positions.
Overall not much activity happened today as it was visible on charts also during the day.
