• CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury stated that the party will not support Trinamool Congress in Bengal, but will be part of the INDIA bloc where Trinamool is also a member.

• Yechury also criticized the Ethics Committee for its hasty investigation into Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra, stating that it is not meant for harassment.
