ā¢ The Supreme Court has refused to issue a notice on a plea seeking immediate implementation of the 128th Constitution (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to reserve one-third of the seats in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies for women.
ā¢ The court will take up the plea along with a pending matter on November 22.
ā¢ The bill was passed after several amendments, including those for giving reservation to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) within the 33 per cent quota were rejected.
