Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra has stated that the government is committed to providing reservation to the Maratha community. However, Fadnavis emphasized the need for the allocation to undergo legal and constitutional scrutiny to avoid being struck down by the Supreme Court. Fadnavis also mentioned that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will address the demand to restructure the state Backward Classes Commission.
