Assam cabinet ministers to stay in a village for 5 days
The Assam government has announced that all cabinet ministers will spend five days and nights in a specific village as part of their commitment to grassroots engagement. During this time, they will lay foundation stones for 400 new buildings, including schools in tea garden areas. The government has allocated Rs 7 crore per school for the renovation of existing buildings. The ministers will also assess the implementation of welfare schemes and provide grants to puja pandals for the upcoming Durga Puja festival.
