The BJP's central election committee (CEC) will meet this week to finalize candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in five states. While candidates for Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan have been announced, the party is yet to declare candidates for Telangana and Mizoram. The CEC will discuss candidates for Telangana and Mizoram on Tuesday. The Congress and BRS have already announced candidates and launched their manifestos for Telangana. The CEC will also discuss candidates for the remaining seats in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh on October 19.
