@piddla18 I think they’ll have to wait, especially because Trump has been so vocal about cutting rates. But if they wait and then inflation rises up and consumption falls, and then finally go and raise rates, then it’s an even worse situation.

increasing inflation rates immediately will start curbing consumption which will already be affected by higher prices and will risk a gdp slowdown. fed should probably wait before raising rates
