Rs 6 lakh crore worth of investments may look for new parking spot after Sitharaman’s tax tweak
The new rules come into effect from April 1 when mutual funds with less than 35% invested in equities will be taxed as short-term capital gains (STCG) based on income tax slab levels, similar to how bank FDs are taxed.
