ā¢ Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) site in Karnataka's Bengaluru on Saturday morning to review and visit their manufacturing facility, including the facility for Tejas jets.
ā¢ The Indian Air Force recently issued a tender to HAL for the purchase of 12 advanced Su-30MKI fighter jets, which will be domestically produced in partnership with Russian original equipment manufacturers.
ā¢ In a boost to India's defence sector, the engines for the LCA Mark 2 and the first two squadrons of the indigenous Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft will also be domestically produced by HAL and American GE.
