The Indian Air Force is working on various 'Make in India' projects worth over Rs 3.15 lakh crore, as part of its indigenisation efforts in the defence sector. These projects include the 180 Light Combat Aircraft Mark1A, 156 Light Combat Helicopters, and other weapon systems. The aim is to develop a fighter aircraft manufacturing ecosystem in the domestic industry and support the country's goal of achieving a USD 5 trillion economy.
