Gujarat-Godrej Innovative Chemical Ltd. had been amalgamated with Godrej Soaps Ltd, resulting as the emergence of Godrej Soaps Ltd from April 1994. The majority of stake in Transelektra Domestic Products Ltd, the greatest mosquito mat manufacturer of the planet, was acquired by the company during the financial year of 1994-95.

Company’s Export Oriented Unit at Vaila started commercial production during 2005-06. This facility unit developed a Pastillation plant for saving the market of fatty alcohol in pastille form. To produce Lauric acid, the company incepted an additional fractional column in its Fatty Acid Fractionation plant at Valia.
A Memorandum of Understanding took place between the company and Godrej Properties Ltd for the commercial utilization of the lands, which Godrej and Boyce Mfg Co Ltd has given the lease to the company during 2007-08. The company achieved the entire shareholding of Godrej Agrovet Ltd in Natures Basket Ltd, during 2009-10. C20-90%, C22-98% Fatty Alcohols were produced by the company for the first time, during 2010-11.
The amalgamation procedure of Swadeshi Detergents Limited with Godrej Industries Limited was considered and approved by the Board of Directors of the company on March 2013, according to the sections 391 to 394 of the Companies Act, 1956. Similarly, another amalgamation took place between Wadala Commodities Limited and Godrej Industries Limited when the board of directors of the company in February 2014 approved it under sections 391 to 394 of the Companies Act, 1956.
On December 2017, an approval from the Board of Directors of the company, at its meeting, had been announced regarding the amalgamation procedure between Vora Soaps Limited and the company which was to be carried under the sections 391 to 394 of the Companies Act 1956, in consideration for equity shares of Godrej Industries Limited.
