Shares of Bharat Dynamics surged 6 per cent today after the state-owned defence company bagged a contract worth Rs. 2,971 crore from the Ministry of Defence. The contract is for the supply of ASTRA MK-I Beyond Visual Range (BVR) air to air missile and associates equipment to the Indian Air Force & Indian Navy. “Till now, the technology to manufacture missile of this class indigenously was not available,” the MoD stated on Tuesday, according to reports. #BDL
