This was when they considered creating a mango orchard around the refinery.
Nearby wastelands were converted into a green belt.
And more than 1.3 lac mango plants were planted.
The 600-acre orchard produces 127 superior-quality mango varieties, traded locally & globally.
Additionally, it made Reliance Asia's largest mango exporter, producing almost 600 tonnes of mangoes yearly!
