There are 3 major players in India.. Deepak Phenolic (18k tonnes/month), HALDIA Petrochemical (4k tonnes/m) and HOC (3k tonne/m)....so top 3 guys put together is 25k tonnes/m

Current domestic demand is at 35-40k tonnes/m...

There is some amount of imports ~5/7K (though it has drastically come down over the past couple of years)

Basically, the DEMAND for phenol is shooting through the roof.. delivery schedules are running into weeks and they are having to decline customers.

Phenol spreads are rising so trend is visible but one major end requirement for phenol is in Plywood followed by personal care( cosmetics /fragrances) and pharmaceuticals…

Construction and real estate activity is rebounding sharply as India opens up and Pharma demand is also inching up nicely so expect this trend to sustain.
