Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 442.65 points up at 59245.98 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Valencia Nutrition L(down 14.12 per cent), Purple Entertainment(down 11.89 per cent), Safa Systems & Technologies Ltd.(down 10.44 per cent), Unitech Intnl(down 10.00 per cent) and Ritesh Prop(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 126.35 points up at 17665.8.
On the BSE, A F Enterprises, FutureLifestyleFash, S M Gold, Mehai Technology and Bombay Rayon hit their fresh 52-week lows, while PAE Ltd, Lykis Ltd, SKM Egg Prod, Celebrity Fash and Kranti Industries touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
