    Sensex falls! But these stocks gained over 10% on BSE

    In the Nifty 50 index, 13 stocks ended in the green, while 37 stocks closed in the red in today's trade.

    NEW DELHI: A number of stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, ended in the red on Monday.

    These high-performing stocks that rallied more than 10% during the session included, Swan Energy(14.68%), Bank of Maharashtra(14.54%), Tirupati Sarjan(14.5%), Godawari Power(14.4%), Punjab Sind Bank(12.7%), Indag Rubber(10.72%), Saven Tech(10.55%) and Haldyn Glass(10.08%).

    The 30-share Sensex ended 518.64 points down at 61144.84, while the 50-share Nifty index closed 147.7 points down at 18159.95.

    In the Nifty 50 index, 13 stocks ended in the green, while 37 stocks closed in the red.

    Meanwhile, stocks such as Vishal Bearings Ltd., VEER Energy, UCO Bank, Bank of Maharashtra and Tirupati Sarjan hit their fresh 52-week high, while Kopran Ltd, Ansal Housing, Quess Corp, Suumaya Corporation Ltd. and Arshiya touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
