    Stocks in the news: HCL Tech, Paytm, LTTS, ITC, Hind Zinc and ICICI Lombard

    Stocks in buzz: TVS Motors, Apollo Tyres, Tata Communications, Raitel, Corp, JSW Energy, Rallis Inida, KBC Global and more
    Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 185.5 points, or 1.07 per cent lower at 17,221.50, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Friday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:

    Hind Zinc, MMTC, Tejas Networks: Hindustan Zinc, Sundaram Fasteners, MMTC, Tejas Networks, Tata Metaliks, Khaitan Chemical & Fertilizers, Wendt India, Aditya Birla Money and Quest Capital Markets are the companies that will announce their March quarter results today.

    HCL Technologies: The IT services major reported over a three-fold jump in its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 2022 at Rs 3,593 crore as it struck an optimistic note about the "buoyant" market environment and "strong momentum across verticals and service lines" to guide for 12-14 per cent revenue growth for FY23.

    ITC: The diversified bluechip conglomerate said it will acquire 10.07 per cent stake in Blupin Technologies, the company behind direct-to-consumer(D2C) brand, Mylo for up to Rs 39.34 crore. The investment in Mylo is part of a $17 million (nearly Rs 130 crore) raised by Blupin Technologies in a Series B funding round led by W Health Ventures.

    L&T Technology Services:
    The technology player reported an increase of 34.7 per cent in consolidated net profit to Rs 262 crore for the quarter ended March 2022. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 194.5 crore in the same period a year ago.

    One97 Communications:
    The Paytm owner and operator posted a shareholding update which showed that Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) has also increased its stake in Paytm from 1.57 to 1.71 per cent in the quarter ended March 2022.

    ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company: The non-life insurer reported 10 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 313 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2022. It had posted a net profit of Rs 346 crore in the corresponding period of 2020-21.

    TVS Motor Company: The two wheeler manufacturer said it has invested a total of 100 million pounds (about Rs 995 crore) in Norton Motorcycles, Britain's most iconic sporting motorcycle brand, which it acquired in April 2020.

    Apollo Tyres: The tyre maker said it has opened its Digital Innovation Hub in London and has partnered with Glasgow University to work in areas like artificial intelligence, machine learning and data mapping to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

    Barbeque Nation: Ashish Ramesh Kacholia bought 2,53,004 shares of the restaurant chain for an average price of Rs 1,163 apiece in a bulk deal transaction on Thursday, data published by NSE showed. The entire value of the deal was Rs 29.42 crore.

    Tata Communications:
    The digital connectivity solutions firm posted a 22 per cent growth in consolidated profit at Rs 365 crore for the quarter ended March 2022. The company had registered a profit of Rs 299.2 crore in the same period a year ago.

    RailTel Corporation of India: The railway infra company has received work order from National Informatics Centre Services. The work order was worth Rs 29.75 crore.

    JSW Energy: A subsidiary of the company, JSW Neo Energy (JSWNEL) is going to set up 1,500 MW capacity of hydro pumped storage project (PSPs) - Komoram Bheem Pumped Storage Project, in Telangana. The company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the state government, for the said project.

    Rallis India: The subsidiary of Tata Chemicals reported a consolidated loss of Rs 14 crore for the March quarter due to multiple challenges, including in seeds business. The company has posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 8 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

    Dhanlaxmi Bank: The small private sector lender said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) for collection of taxes.

    KBC Global: Singapore based fund Maybank Kim Eng Securities Pte ltd picked up 35 lakh shares for Rs.9.99 per share through bulk deal, the data with NSE showed. KBC Global, a affordable and mid-income housing segment in its home turf Nashik.

    Dev Information Technology: The company has teamed up with Adani Institute of Digital Technology Management (AIDTM) & Orena Solutions to upskill IT students & professionals in Cloud, AI/ML, Blockchain & ongoing digital transformation technologies and give them career opportunities.
