Nutrition Innovation is a Singapore-based company founded by Australian scientist Dr David Kannar. “By partnering with EID Parry we can jointly give more consumers access to natural brown sugar solutions which can improve both and choices in the market,” Dr Kannar said in the media release. The process uses natural occurring polyphenols in cane sugar that have been proven and tested to consistently lower glycemic response of sucrose when consumed, the statement added.
A Murugappa group company, EID Parry India reported consolidated net profit of Rs 302.52 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022, compared to a consolidated net loss Rs 1.62 crore in the corresponding year-ago quarter. The company said it focused on sweating of its assets and expansion in core areas while maintaining optimum cost levels, and added that its debt reduction programmes helped in significant reduction of costs.
