Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.66% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:09AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 2.29 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.78 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 3.05 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.84 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.98 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 0.92 per cent) and DLF(down 0.77 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.66 per cent at 445.85 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 137.2 points at 18170.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 464.02 points at 61199.46.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, PNB, Zomato Ltd., Bank of Maharashtra and Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Archean Chemical Industries Ltd., Timken India, UCO Bank, Stampede Cap and Bank of Maharashtra hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Arshiya, Suumaya Lifestyle, Jet Airways, Vivo Collaboration Solutions Ltd. and Nakoda Group Of Ind hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
