Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.19% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:05AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 3.45 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 0.91 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 0.61 per cent) and DLF(up 0.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Phoenix Mills(down 1.23 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.86 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.18 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 0.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.19 per cent at 453.3 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 86.45 points at 18573.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 317.78 points at 62360.13.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, UCO Bank, IOB and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Indbank Merc, Madras Fert, IOB, Nagreeka Capital and UCO Bank hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Cerebra Integrat, Pritika Engineering Components Ltd., Sintex Inds., Osia Hyper Retail and Metropolis Health hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
