Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, RO Jewels(20.0%), Salzer Electro(19.99%), Linc Pen Plast(19.98%), Sibar Auto Part(19.96%), KBS India(19.92%), Ddev Plastiks Industries Ltd.(19.91%), Chemcon Speciality(19.13%), Superhouse Ltd(18.19%), Aravali Sec Fin(17.12%) and BF Utilities(16.14%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 35.78 points down at 58817.29, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 9.65 points up at 17534.75.

In the Nifty50 index, 30 stocks closed in the green, while 20 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as RO Jewels, Ddev Plastiks Industries Ltd., Superhouse Ltd, Fine Organic Ind. and Diamines Chem hit their fresh 52-week high, while Dynemic Product(PP), Asian Oilfield, Sumeet Ind, Asian Tea Exp and Ajwa Fun World touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
