Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 4.60 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 3.60 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 2.07 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.97 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.90 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.88 crore), ONGC(number of shares traded: 1.46 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 1.20 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 0.87 crore) and Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 0.77 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:04AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 5.95 points up at 17664.95, while BSE Sensex was down 2.63 points at 59329.97 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 3.05 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.70 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.92 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.70 per cent) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.71 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 2.57 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.03 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
