Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.4% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Natco Pharma(up 1.92 per cent), Pfizer(up 1.07 per cent), Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals(up 0.5 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(up 0.31 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories(up 0.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Divis Laboratories(down 1.57 per cent), Biocon(down 0.98 per cent), Abbott India(down 0.95 per cent), Cipla(down 0.73 per cent) and Granules India(down 0.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.4 per cent at 13067.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 110.65 points at 18701.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 363.02 points at 62921.17.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., PNB, BHEL and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Skipper Ltd, Punjab Sind Bank, Raymond, Axita Cotton and Likhitha Infra hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Aakash Exploration, Indiabulls Intgrtd, FutureLifestyleFash, Ishan International Ltd. and Future Enterprises hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
