Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.05% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 09:59AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

SOBHA(up 2.09 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.96 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 0.5 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 0.33 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 0.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.25 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 0.98 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.48 per cent), DLF(down 0.16 per cent) and Sunteck Realty(down 0.13 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.05 per cent at 428.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 10.2 points at 17981.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 30.38 points at 60322.89.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, PNB and IOB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Lambodhara Text, Rama Steel Tubes, Tainwala Chem, Salzer Electro and BLB Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sumeet Ind, Jyoti Structure, Paras Petrofils, Transwarr Fin(PP)and Aavas Financiers hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
