Stock market update: FMCG stocks mixed as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading mixed on Tuesday at 09:59AM

Dangee Dums(up 3.67%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.69%), Umang Dairies(up 1.61%), Godrej Consumer Products(up 1.14%), Varun Beverages(up 0.97%), ADF Foods(up 0.95%), Marico(up 0.93%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 0.87%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.58%) and Colgate Palmolive(India)(up 0.49%) were among the top gainers.

Future Consumer(down 7.69%), Hind.Foods(down 3.37%), Emami(down 2.03%), Nakoda Group(down 1.74%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 1.52%), Parag Milk(down 1.51%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.35%), P & G Hygiene(down 1.19%), Prataap Snacks(down 0.89%) and Gillette India(down 0.70%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 17.3 points down at 16284.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 26.41 points at 54444.26 at around 09:59AM.

UltraTech Cement(up 1.81%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.8%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.69%), Eicher Motors(up 1.61%), Asian Paints(up 1.45%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.34%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.1%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.06%), NTPC(up 0.94%) and HDFC(up 0.77%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 4.55%), Tata Steel(down 2.12%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.09%), JSW Steel(down 1.91%), Coal India(down 1.78%), Cipla(down 1.74%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.43%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.27%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.09%) and Reliance Industries(down 1.03%) were trading in the red.
