Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.29%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Thursday.

Shares of Oberoi Realty(up 1.06 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.58 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.18 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.5 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.5 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 1.22 per cent), DLF(down 0.55 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(down 0.15 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.29 per cent down at 472.25.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 174.35 points at 17798.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 659.31 points at 59688.22.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 ended in the green, while 13 closed in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Zomato Ltd. and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Mahalaxmi Rub, Euro India Fresh, Arvind SmartSpaces, Sarthak Metals and Selan Expl Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Debock Sales & Mktg, Gayatri Project, GRM Overseas, Natco Pharma and Sanofi India hit their fresh 52-week lows.
