Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 6.26 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(number of shares traded: 5.42 crore), HUDCO(number of shares traded: 4.52 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 3.80 crore), Global Health Ltd.(number of shares traded: 3.27 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 2.58 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 2.36 crore), Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 2.34 crore), FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)(number of shares traded: 2.15 crore) and Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.11 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:55AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 26.3 points up at 18429.7, while BSE Sensex was up 124.08 points at 61997.07 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.40 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.98 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(up 0.92 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.20 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
