Stock market update: BSE SmallCap index flat; Technocraft Ind surges 12%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading flat at 01:47PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Technocraft Industries (India) (up 11.61 per cent), Responsive Industries (up 11.17 per cent), SATIN (up 7.36 per cent), Redington (India) (up 7.27 per cent) and Schneider Electric Infrastructure (up 6.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Mahindra Lifespace Developers (down 8.43 per cent), Thomas Cook (India) (down 7.64 per cent), Jindal Poly Films (down 6.84 per cent), V Mart Retail Ltd (down 6.2 per cent) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 6.09 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.03 per cent down at 14331.63 around 01:47PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 98.35 points at 11485.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 358.21 points at 38986.5.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, SBI and IDFC First Bank Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd., IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd. and Infibeam Avenues Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Darjeeling Ropeway Company Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Anupam Finserv Ltd., Vas Infrastructure Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Megastar Foods Ltd., Suncare Traders Ltd. and B P Capital Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
