Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.27% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 09:59AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.72 per cent), Sunteck Realty(up 1.69 per cent), SOBHA(up 1.57 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 1.1 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 1.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 2.34 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 1.51 per cent), DLF(down 0.47 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.41 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.27 per cent at 406.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 60.7 points at 17555.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 78.94 points at 59629.14.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Adani Ports SEZ, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, PNB and Ambuja Cements were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Jindal Saw, Linc Pen Plast, Mold-Tek Pack, Upsurge Seeds of Agriculture Ltd. and Bombay Super Hybrid hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Adani Transmission, Adani Green, Aarti Pharmalabs Ltd., Manomay Tex India and Kamdhenu Ventures Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
