Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.46% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:15AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

AU Small Finance Bank(up 3.68 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 1.86 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 1.5 per cent), Bandhan Bank(up 1.48 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 0.98 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was up 0.46 per cent at 37932.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 72.0 points at 16930.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 194.79 points at 56793.07.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Zomato Ltd., Tata Steel, Vodafone Idea and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Apollo Sindoori, Rites, Maks Energy Solutions India Ltd., M K Proteins and Bombay Super Hybrid hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SVP Global, Dhanvarsha Finvest, Kandarp Digi Smart BPO Ltd., MEP Infrastructure and Ishan International Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
