Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Friday at 10:50AM

Aries Agro(up 2.10%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.29%), Rama Phosphates(up 0.95%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.74%), ZUARIAGRO(up 0.73%), Agro Phos(up 0.36%) and G S F C(up 0.07%) were among the top gainers.

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 3.33%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 2.94%), Bohra Industries(down 2.61%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.61%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.01%), Sikko Industries(down 0.84%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.83%), Coromandel International(down 0.78%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.76%) and National Fertilizer(down 0.62%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 30.5 points down at 17827.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 148.84 points at 59809.19 at around 10:50AM.

Tata Steel(up 2.37%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.0%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.94%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.9%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.69%), Grasim Industries(up 0.68%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.65%), JSW Steel(up 0.61%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.58%) and Hindalco Industries(up 0.56%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, HCL Technologies(down 1.33%), Wipro(down 1.18%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.13%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.02%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.95%), Asian Paints(down 0.94%), Axis Bank(down 0.94%), Reliance Industries(down 0.85%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.75%) and Bajaj Finserv(down 0.56%) were trading in the red.
