Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 10:35AM

National Fertilizer(up 7.35%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 7.12%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 5.00%), Madras Fertlizers(up 4.94%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.38%), G S F C(up 3.22%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 2.97%), Agro Phos(up 2.94%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 2.65%) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 2.59%) were among the top gainers.

Bohra Industries(down 4.81%), Sikko Industries(down 1.74%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.14%) and KRISHANA(down 0.10%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 69.4 points down at 18163.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 245.78 points at 61048.42 at around 10:35AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 1.04%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.0%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.96%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.66%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.64%), Axis Bank(up 0.5%), SBI Life(up 0.43%), Grasim Industries(up 0.4%), Asian Paints(up 0.39%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.21%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 2.79%), JSW Steel(down 2.13%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.91%), Coal India(down 1.83%), Tata Motors(down 1.43%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.3%), Tata Steel(down 1.01%), ITC(down 0.95%), Wipro(down 0.93%) and Infosys(down 0.87%) were trading in the red.
